Recommendations

- Refuel whenever possible: distances are long. On the Blue Route (Route 1), fuel is only available in the town of Camarones or Garayalde (on Route 3)
- Make sure you have a spare tire.
- Respect the speed limits inside and outside the Reserve: the routes cross wildlife paths, so to preserve the animals and safety, it's best to drive slowly and enjoy the landscape.
- Always carry a bag for trash: all types of waste must be taken back to a place with waste disposal facilities.
- Be prepared for adventure: bring water, food, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and warm clothing. It is recommended to wear lightweight clothing that covers arms and legs.
